Republican Hatred

The MSM says President Bush must reach out to Democrats. They want him to be nicer to them. Here is what Howard Dean said recently: "I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for." So remember this quote next time you see Howard Dean on television and he is talking about how mean those nasty Republicans are. Funny that the SAEN is not reporting this, isn't it? Think about it; if President Bush had said "I hate the Democrats and everything they stand for" don't you think there would be wall-to-wall coverage of it in the MSM?
I agree that was another unfortunate choice of words for Dean to use, but you conveniently left off the end of his statement which makes it clear that he was trying to give Republicans a backhanded compliment.

Here is his full quote:

"I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for, but I admire their discipline and their organization."

Also, your analogy is way off too. Of course if President Bush had said something like this it would get a lot of coverage because he is the president and everything he says is significant. But if some guy running for Republican Party Chairman had said it, it would have received about the same amount of play as Dean got and perhaps less.
If any Republican had said what Dean had said the press would have pounces. It would not matter if it was the President or a precinct captain, the MSM would say it was just another examply of how mean Republicans are. How can you not see that?
Yeah, I guess Democrats have a monopoly on hate these days.
Mike, please. Having some blogger says he hates the left is a far cry from the potential head of the party. Besides, the main point of commenting on this is that the silence of the media on it.
