Let's Not Offend Terrorists

All I heard about yesterday was that a terrorist blew himself up outside a medical clinic in Hilla, killing 120 people. A report about the bombing is the lead story on the front page of today's SAEN. Surely even the SAEN has to admit that the person responsible for the deaths of 120 people is a terrorist, right? No, the story calls the perpetrator a "suicide bomber" once and simply a "bomber" three times. Maybe I am wrong about this, but I find it unseemly that the SAEN is so worried about offending the sensibilities of Islamo-fascist. In an effort to help out the misguided editors over at the SAEN I am have looked up the definition of bomber and terrorist for them.
Bomber:
1. A combat aircraft designed to carry and drop bombs.
2. One who makes and sets off bombs.

Terrorist:
1. One that engages in acts or an act of terrorism.

I will let you decide which word accurately fits a person who straps a bomb to their body in order to blow up 120 civilians standing in line to get a job.
Comments:
The reluctance of msm to use the T word has been making me crazy for awhile now. Euphemisms such as "militant" or "rebel" are inaccurate and serve to protect the terrorists.

The local media finally quit calling topless bars "gentlemen's clubs" years ago. I don't know if it was because a lot of people complained, or if the newswriters just realized how silly they sounded using such a euphemism.

Quick OT-Thrilled about democratic developments in the ME. Thanks to our magnificent military and to George W Bush!

Folks, as usual Stace hits the nail on the head.
